2017 in full swing, it was only right to see what caught our dear friend ARA aka ATOYADAY eye and bank account from 2017. All the hours ARA spends on Instagram scouting for art collectables and designer toys we get to see ARA’s top 10 purchases and commissions for 2017. It must have been hard to choose top 10, let us not waste your time and show you what ARA choose.

I had a creeping obsession with having more custom fun this year.The Artists showered their creative flair upon them, and I am ever grateful and love them all so!

Words can’t express how thrilled I was to have found both Matsuko & Thea this year! Female characters are generally much harder to come by, and I was ecstatic to have found two with such great personalities. Whereschappell’s incredible sculpts combined with the meticulously magical flair of Wetworks and Jon-Paul Kaiser, made me one mighty happy camper!
When art comes to life; this beady-eyed sculpture stole my heart, distinctly Javier Calleja.Its size won me over certainly, along with the wooden box he came in and wood-like elements on the sculpture(clearly, I’m a total sucker for wood and good packaging).
Ron English’s Grins always bring a smile (and grin) to my face. Makes it impossible to choose one, help!
I’m all in wherever there’s an element of fun and wit and Flabslab had me giggling, and giggling… and giggling!I greatly appreciate the size and weight on these, and don’t get me started on all that wood and chrome(told you wood and all things shiny always win me over like that!). Cheeky cheeky!
Colic is such a charmer, and I just had to have him this year. Everything about him and his little sidekicks was well put together, from sculpt to paint to the box he came in. Always satisfying when the entire package is amazing!
Child Kopi came with such a clean and polished finish. Gold, a minimal palette, a great size, in a wooden box – he came with a story and I loved that.There surely is beauty in simplicity!
Erosion Mollly had me going gaga. The usually sweet allure of Kenny Wong’s crowned Molly translated to fierceness with Instinctoy’s signature oozing skin and claws. Bold and beautiful, that’s what she is!
Frank was certainly one cutie I had to have this year. That PINK onesie on Frank – oh, my girly side just couldn’t resist!Rawr!
