TIDE was born in 1984. He began producing art after being inspired by Shigeru Mizuki’s manga, which he read during his stay in Australia. He started his painting career in Tokyo in 2009. His current CAT creation depicts a monochrome cat in a room, painted on canvas. He has attracted a great deal of attention in contemporary art both in Japan and abroad and has participated in group exhibitions in London and New York.
