Last year AllRightsReserved presented the world Yusuke Hanai’ “DOWN BUT NOT OUT” where it portrays an attitude to life during the struggling moment and now they are back! In addition, comes the “WE WILL FLY AGAIN” from Japanese artist Yusuke Hanai’ Both open for a raffle for a chance to own both the “DOWN BUT NOT OUT” and “WE WILL FLY AGAIN”. Like we said previously, with previous experience creating 3D figures of his characters, Hanai is teaming up with AllRightsReserved to take his artwork and craftsmanship to the next level to produce his first-ever wood sculpture “WE WILL FLY AGAIN” and “DOWN BUT NOT OUT”. The 19″-tall sculptures are the artist’s largest 3D artwork to date.

The implication of an attitude towards the intricacy of life In contrast to the form composed of Hanai’s signature simple lines, “DOWN BUT NOT OUT” is an intricate narrative artwork about how one should face his or her life when the going gets tough.
Titled “DOWN BUT NOT OUT” – an idiom that implies temporarily incapacitated but not permanently defeated – the piece portrays a guy who is encountering downs in life but is still fighting hard for opportunities
to move upward again. “Our countless silly mistakes and repeated failures drive us away from the brilliant life path we imagined for ourselves when we were still kids. However upsetting, whenever I hang out with my friends over a drink, teasing each other about our respective failures, our shared laughter gives us renewed energy for the next day,” says the artist, who claims that he could never have imagined this
kind of fulfilment when he was a child. “Failures, unpleasant experiences, loss of precious treasures, the global pandemic…There are many hardships that we all have to go through in life. Yet life must go on.
Take a break, then Get up and Move Forward.” This was Hanai’s incentive to create “DOWN BUT NOT OUT”.
