Doktor A for ToyCon UK 2016

ToyCon UK 2016 is right around the corner and Doktor A is definitely ready for it! To be honest, I’m amazed by all the wonderful pieces I’ve seen so far. First of all there will be several Copper Creeps.

“Following the success of the first series pairing, The Monster and The Bride, series two introduces Vlad and Orlok.”

Vlad is around 2.5″ tall, while Orlok stands a little bigger at 3.5″. Each piece is hand cast and finished in antiqued “Cold Cast” metals. “Bronze” and “Pewter” open editions are £40 each.

There is also a super limited “Monotone” edition of 20. Each painted, signed and numbered by Doktor A himself costing £90 each. And if you like a bit more colour, the “Allerdale” edition, limited to 10, may be exactly what you’re looking for. These little guys launch in person at Toycon UK in London on April 9th. For everyone who can’t come to ToyCon, don’t worry! They will be available online the same day directly from Doktor A’s online store.

Doktor A is also bringing a wide range of beautiful Mechtorian customs. I’m absolutely in love with these and still struggle to pick a favorite. But, being a huge Dunny fan, I’ll start with them.

The details on the Dunnys are amazing. They all have different ears (love the key!), a nice big mustache, classy outfit or a numbered sign. At £150 each, I’ll doubt they will last long.

Besides Dunnys, Doktor A has used several other platforms and turned them into Mechtorians. These customs will cost between £150 and £350.

Hook man is a customised Frankie figure. This Mechtorian pirate is missing a leg and one of his hands is replaced by a hook, but he still manages to look fabulous. Perhaps his little hat has something to do with that.

Reactor is a Mechtorian with a 10″ Madl body and Squid Kids Ink customised resin figure is the cutest Mechtorian I’ve ever seen. You will also find a hand painted version of Colonel Rombus at Doktor A’s booth.

Last but not least a prototype edition of Studley Billund will be available at ToyCon UK.

“Produced in association with Crazy Bricks in the USA it has an injection molded Mechtorian head, hat and moustache. The rest of the mini kit is made up of real Lego pieces.”
