Sunset Orange and Midnight Blue Robo Top By Kevin Nam Inami Toyland

Kevin Nam from Inami Toyland is back with another Robo Top release. The last couple of times these clever designs they sold out in a flash!  Kevin is all set to launch the new Robo Tops in Sunset Orange and Midnight Blue, best colour way yet in my option.

If you’re not familiar with Robo Top’s, It takes the classic game of Rock-Paper-Scissors and combines it with the playability of a spinning top. How it works is you spin the top and once it stops, whichever hand is raised is its move. You can play against it or if you have two of them you can play with another person. Robo Top is completely handmade by Kevin Nam from the original sculpt to resin casting. Each figure measures approximately 2″ tall.

“Robo Top is the second rock-paper-scissors top that I have made. After creating Big Top, I realized that there were a lot of problems I could fix. I learned a lot about the mechanics behind spinning tops and decided that in order to fully realize my idea, I had to take it one step further.

This new top is smaller so it’s much lighter and easier to spin. I’ve streamlined the design to remove as many variables from the kinetics behind it.”

We think this is a pretty cool idea and the design is awesome and at that price it’s a no brainer, even if you use it for its purpose on not. Mixing usefulness with a awesome design. Check out the video below to see the Robo Tops in action!

“With each release of my Robo Tops I try to find contrasting colors that complement each other well. At first I was feeling a bit uninspired and couldn’t decide on the next colors to do. One day on the way home from work, I was walking outside when I noticed quite an extraordinary sunset. The colors in the sky were so vivid and needless to say I knew exactly what I was going to do for my next wave of Robo Tops.”
