We welcome back our friends at Outside the Zone for another showcase later this month, with artist kWeRk taking over UNIT 5 with his fine mix of artwork & beats!
Working with Outside the Zone allows us to bring a new audience to UNIT 5, integrating the world of street art alongside our daily dose of Designer Toys,
kWeRk will be on hand on the opening night of MICRO/MACRO at TTC UNIT 5 from 6pm on Thursday 14th July. We will be serving drinks fuelled by our E1 neighbours at E1 Brew Co! Come join us for another fantastic night at TTC UNIT 5 in Shoreditch
The title micro/macro responds to the idea of repeated reproduction, Interference and use of modular forces that include multidisciplinary art forms moving between audio forms and minimalist lines.
Kwerk, exhibition continues his exploration of how sound influences our hyper visual perception situating his audience in a semi permanent immersive state.
The artist aims to construct new audio narratives both analogue and digital. In a time where digital downloads is the norm. Kwerk, re-uses old technology and subverts the context. adding/distorting the audio with his signature paintings on vinyl.
“Altered as a result of the process”, is the artist “motif” as he conceptually formalises time and space with sculptural paintings that mix repurposed items with analogue/new technology to create complex forms.
The exhibition will include an orchestrated vibrant soundscape performed live while the artist creates a conceptual visual language simultaneously on different surfaces.
Formal aspects to the artist’s work are his time line paintings which create multi layered dimensions of time and space over found paintings.
The show raises urgent questions about situations with the now, beyond and future realities.Outside the Zone, July 2022
