Earlier this week, we brought you the details of our UNIT 5 opening last weekend. Included in this was the Artist Showcase area (read HERE), where we spoke about how UK street artist, Czee13 brought the absolute heat for his week in the UNIT 5 spotlight.
Amongst the heat brought by Czee13, was the prototype of the DBCZ Kuma that was available to view for those that attended the opening of UNIT 5 last Friday (and throughout this past week).
Kuma by Dead Beat City is already a highly popular figure amongst collectors (remember we had folks queuing before 7am last Friday to ensure they got first dibs at the new DBC releases). When you throw Czee13 skills into the mix too, we are heading towards greatness from two UK greats.
Czee has taken Kuma and given it a little street vibe. Thrown in the peaked cap, hoodie and Czee13 sneakers. There is also the addition of a beard going on. Gives Kuma some extra dimensions than we are already accustomed to.
Right now DBCZ Kuma is a prototype. both Czee & Dead Beat City will be working on this to ensure that the mold & casting is completely up to scratch. As we head into 2022, we hope to see a fruitful collaboration between the two manifest strongly and we will soon see a new release of DBCZ Kuma in the not too distant future! Keep your eyes peeled to TTC for more details!
