Cast your minds back to 2015, Klim updated the status of the new Space Monkey along with a test shot from the tooling. Being fans of Dalek, we would like a new designer toy from Dalek and we kept our fingers crossed it would happen very soon. Fast forward to the present day one of the many colour ways has been released and TODAY will be the Dalek Space Monkey Black & Gold Edition – a Bigshot exclusive which is one of the most limited editions to date!
Dalek x 3DRetro x Big Shot Toy Works their rendition of the Dalek Space Monkey character, complete with ball-jointed head, articulated at shoulders and waist, and comes with 2 accessories: mallet and knife. Big Shot Toy Works designed this one many years ago and recently manufactured it for 3DRetro
The Space Monkey is a classic and iconic character created by James “Dalek” Marshall. Appearing frequently throughout Dalek’s oeuvre starting in his graff in 1995, the Space Monkey has evolved over the years to become one of the most recognizable characters in the scene. The Space Monkey is a representation of humanity and its ever-changing relationship to itself and its evolving world.
We are huge fans of Dalek’s artwork, so it was a true treat to work on the Space Monkey in all its wacky, colorful goodness.
The 3DRetro Space Monkeys were designed, sculpted and produced by Bigshot Toyworks. They stand 6.25″ tall and are made of vinyl. Each colourway includes a mallet and a knife accessory, packed safely into an inner tray inside an art box adorned with Dalek artwork. Articulation includes shoulders, waist and a superposable ball jointed neck.
