A few months ago we had the lucky chance to own DUALLE DRAVOKKI by VYNC x WHALERABBIT. Dravokki – The Raging edition came home with me from Thailand Toy Expo. LIVE Facebook Unboxing was done, which you can check below I thought it would be a great idea to give you all a more in-depth review as the live footage I missed out a few things. Plus international readers can use translator to read all this 🙂
Let’s get it on!
Before Dravokki – The Raging edition was released most collectors like me was hyped up for Dravokki – The Raging edition. Something unique with the shape and various styles you could have which was shown even in its early stages.
Packaging for me isn’t a huge deal for me as long as it protects the item inside and shipping consideration. BUT, a very big BUT, VYNC x WHALERABBIT went all out! Clean high-quality finish and with a nice art print inside. Fancy sleeve to go outside the box and by all means, the box ain’t flimsy. the protective foam is a slightly too tight but it did make protect the plain 12-hour plane journey. Hmmm come to think about it, It might be my fat fingers that made it too snug to get out the Dravokki.
Fancy bronze embellished logos made the packing feel special.
I personally still think they should spend less time on the packaging as it could drive up the cost, but I’m sure they’ve worked everything out. I always forget about the packaging when I’ve got the figure out unless they or any other company can tie in the packaging with the figure. If not it either goes into storage or the bin….
Subtle blends between the different range of colours, from the eyes, can see no paint issues. Great not to see any fingerprints. The paint does seem thick enough to last the time, especially with the removable mask. Guess I can’t judge too much as I’ve not had it for that long and not changed position of the mask too many times.
Love the three different styles n moods Dravokki gives off when you remove the removable mask and also change positions with the fancy magnets that are embedded in the head of Dravokki. Before I ordered I was a little sceptical of the quality of the resin as I’ve never purchased anything from WHALERABBIT. I should never doubt them now as Dravokki seems like its nice quality hard resin and has a great weight to it.
Well balanced for a 6.5inch tall (without horns) that powerful stance that Dravokki has won’t be easily knocked over. I’ve been trying my best to send some negativity, sadly I can’t even find an exposed air bubble.
Finishing is smooth as a baby’s bottom, every curve and line must have been sanded down to the max.
Would I buy another one? Hell yes totally worth the price. Priced at $95/£77 which also included worldwide registered shipping was a great deal. You and I know that we’ve seen 3″ resin figures priced around the $40-60 mark and no way in the same league or finishing as Dravokki. You might be thinking why am I putting Dravokki on such a high. If you have the chance of owning one and love the design you’ll know why.
9 out of 10 for me, no extra star? Because I wanted the GID chase! Ha, just messing around. I leave for now as I want to see if the mask will start to scratch the paintwork and test in the long run. Pretty lame excuse not to give Dravokki that extra star but WHALERABBIT and should have room for improvement.
What was included:
– X1 DUALLE DRAVOKKI
– X1 MASK ACCESSORY
– X1 ART PRINT
