With six weeks until The Toy Chronicle celebrates our first year of existence, we would like to tell you all a little bit more details on our event, which will take place in Walthamstow, East London on 25th October 2014.
Our initial thoughts were to put on a show but with time constraints, platform sourcing & personal matters getting in the way, this planned show will hopefully be put on at ToyConUK in April 2015. We had 40 artists in the wing ready for this show, so once we get this sorted it will be a cracking show on The Toy Chronicle booth next year!
Hosting our birthday in Walthamstow will allow us to pay a visit to our good pals – Toy Shack. If you’ve not had the chance to check out these boys, then this will be the perfect time. Toy Shack is a wee London toy boutique full of hidden treasures & weird finds. It is run by Rob & Luc from Triclops Studio! After the visit to the Toy Shack, we’ll make our way to Wildcard Brewery in Walthamstow Village. A few beers will be sunk to celebrate TTC. Food will be had at the local eatery – Eat17 – home of the famous Bacon Jam. Further beers can be drunk in several fine establishments around the area.
The day isn’t all about good beer, good food & good company – nope. We will also have some incredible ‘designer toy related’ exclusives available on the day. More details to follow on this over the next few weeks.
There will also be birthday cake and party bags. Obviously. It is our birthday afterall!!
For those coming from out-of-London, Walthamstow is relatively easy to get to from Central London. 20 mins on the London Tube from Kings Cross – no changes. Walthamstow can be reached via Liverpool Street Station too.
