As we said t’other evening, Superplastic have opened their first physical store space in New York City (read HERE). During said opening, they launched their new collaboration with SSUR!
Sanctuary Red by SSUR was created & inspired by the distorted values found all too often in our society. Standing at an impressive 15.5inches tall, Sanctuary Red comes in a Christlike pose. Biblical, if, you ask us! Superplastic and SSUR logos come embossed on the stack of bricks he’s perched upon and he’s topped off with an eerily familiar crown of thorns.
With its roots in Odessa, Ukraine, SSUR’s ethos encompasses subversive ingenuity with influences stemming from imperial art, secret knocks, and militaristic propaganda.
Sanctuary Red is currently available on our TTC Shop as a pre-order (expected Sept 2022). These are priced at our EARLY BIRD pricing of £153, but will rise to £170 when they arrive in the UK later this year. Grab them today. Buying early helps us out, as we have to pay up front for stock and damn that’s hard at the best of times. You can grab them HERE!
