Super7 SDCC Skeletor’s Lair!

SDCC 2015 is well underway now, but we’ll keep bringing you awesome releases and continue making you feel a little bad that you’re not in San Diego right now. We can only apologise for that. However, we don’t apologise for the awesomeness that is coming out of Super7 at SDCC this weekend.

Super7 have set up their own Skeletor’s Lair, in homage to the badass bad guy from He-Man Master of the Universe. They’ve created a nifty cool video to accompany this Lair…

Before you can enter Skeletor’s Lair, you need to get hold of a Skeletoken. These aluminium coins can be located either at the Super7 or Mattell booth, this will grant you access to the Super7 pop-up shop at another location near by. If anyone can pick The Toy Chronicle one of these coins, we’ll love you forever & eternal.

Super7 have roped in some awesome artists too, firstly Amanda Visell (Question: who isn’t Amanda working with nowadays? Coarse. Kidrobot. Super7. Highly sought after artist. We love it!).

Amanda has created two handcrafted limited edition resin He-Man and Skeletor figures. Even without mentioning Amanda’s name, you’d be able to instantly recognise the facial features on these figures. In limited numbers of 50 each, they’ll set you back $100 (£65) per figure. They look to be about 6inches tall.

Amanda also made an original sculpture of He-Man’s home Castle Grayskull, which you can catch below…

Finally, the guys over at Toy Break covered the Super7 x Mattel SDCC range on their latest Toy Break episode. It’s worth a watch. Not trying to click bait here, but George isn’t necessarily happy. He may drop some bombs. Around 7.50mins in…..
