Flying the flag high Malaysia based Facebook group MY Toy Hoard community is growing by the day and already marking their 4th anniversary! MTH has been working hard over the years and we can’t fault them for putting local talent and friends in the spotlight uncovering some gems within their local scene as well as worldwide artists.
After last year successful” EXPOSURE: Designer Toy Group Exhibition”, this year MY Toy Hoard from Malaysia will continue to organize another designer toy group exhibition. In view of the pandemic, “EXPOSURE 2.0: Celebrating the Malaysia Art Toy Scene” will be held as an online edition. This time around the number of artists, designers or brands participating in this event has increased to 25 from 20 previously.
More than 25 designer art toys will be available for purchase during that time. Currently, collectors may head over to MY Toy Hoard group to see the preview of what designer art toys that the artists, designers or brands have to offer. There will be videos about artists or designers sharing their backgrounds, design thoughts and figure making the process so that collectors will have a better understanding of the toys, artists and designers. In conjunction with “EXPOSURE 2.0: Celebrating the Malaysia Art Toy Scene” Online Edition, Malaysia toy production house, Pilot Toyz Project (Facebook page) will organize a designer toy charity auction from 1/8/2021 till 3/8/2021 called “MCLELUN SUPER 7 ARTISTS CHARITY AUCTION”. 7 artists namely 1) littlegoodthingsb (IG), 2) mr_kenjichai (IG), 3) messydesktudio (IG), 4) michaelchuah (IG), 5) wepostcare (IG), 6) shafiq.nordin (IG) and 7) abdulrashade (IG) were invited to customize Mclelun Lee’s CRT Boy designer art toy. Funds collected will be donated to shelter homes.
