Is Kranyus finally here? Way back in January HERE, it was no secret that Martian Toys was making more vinyl toys! Joining the ever-growing roster is Kranyus, the 8inch vinyl toy by Teodoru Badiu. The artist who brought you the fantastic “WippYou” way back in 2012, showcased his 8″ handcrafted resin “Kranyus” character resin figures, back in November 2015 at Vienna Comic Con. The character has hints and influences of the world-famous mouse. Fast forward to 2018 and Teodoru illustrations style has the full impact when it’s been turned into an all-new vinyl figure powered by Martian Toys. The best news is you can soon have one in our collection as the debut of Kranyus will be made this weekend at Five Points Festival aka the cool kids call it Five Points Fest.
Teodoru Badiu is an illustrator, character designer and 3D artist living in Vienna, Austria. To bring his visions to life, he works with different kinds of media, from photography to 3D and vector to traditional drawing collage or mixed media. The way of combining all those elements helped him to develop a unique graphic style with a colourful and bright colour palette but with slightly dark messages. But even if his cheerful, bizarre, and colourful characters in their fantastic environment seem to be a little menacing sometimes, they are friendly in the end.
Kranyus will see you at booth #132
