2020 is turning out to be an intense year. In Parker’s eyes, it may be a strange time to talk about the future, or it just might be the best time.
After launching the artist’s first limited painted wood sculpture “WOKE” last year, Parker and AllRightsReserved are moving forward this June with a new collaboration to release the second limited painted wood sculpture “FUTURE” with accompanying flat panel. Still based on Parker’s pyramid-shaped painting in his signature vivid colors and motifs, “FUTURE” is a brand-new fragmented artwork that encourages people to think positively and stay optimistic during these uncertain times. Describing his own work as “fragmented samples of our culture”,
acclaimed American artist Erik Parker is known for his figurative paintings of disembodied,
twisted heads that ooze vivid colour. His works have been exhibited in various international galleries and museums, seamlessly combining elements of contemporary culture into narrative flows of politics, music, internet memes, hallucinatory dreams, conspiracy theories and the hieroglyphics of various subcultures.
