A couple of weeks ago we gave you a taste of the Korean collective “White Pin” Today we look deeper into one of the artist from the collective “Lolonine” his work is something different and we don’t see anything like it within the scene right now. His creations interpreted from life experiences. Who would of thought a Rhino Beetle would work as a art toy!
“Nothing can crack the shells of ‘Bulletproof Beetles.’ Their story is about making themselves more impenetrable in order to protect themselves and their clan from their enemies.
Anyone, who loved insects as a child, must have memories about searching for a beetle in a forest. I hope that ‘Bulletproof Beetles’ bring back childhood memories that have been dug deep in the minds of people surviving through the hustle and bustle of today’s society.”
Every single version looks dope! and look at the texture of the beetle’ helmet on the black version on the right. These are handmade, which makes them even better! We would love to see them up close. Judging from these photos they look as good a s production.
Made from resin and standing at 330mm Lolonine chosen colourways have been spot on. Look how smooth the finish is too.
These next two figure….. well wow! we love the combo of having insects combined into a action figure. Lets hope the articulation are as good as they look.
Right so we don’t know if these are available to purchase yet, but like always stay tuned for the updates. For now you can find Lolonine on Instagram. If lolonine doesn’t release these soon, we should cause a RIOT.
