One of our favourite Indonesia-based designer and producer Abell Octovan! kicking off the new year with something different with a deeper meaning. Memento Mori is a sculpture of the Grim Reaper with the iconic Marilyn pose in the middle of a busy city, caught off guard by the air blowing out of a manhole. His expression, the combination of terror, shame, and delight, along with the dancing cloak, conveys the sense of being present and the frailty of life.
Memento Mori serves as a reminder of fleeting life and mortality.
