The Gloom and MORE By Monster Ego Studios

From the maker of  Lacuna Saplings, Monster Ego Studios will be looking to give ToyCon UK attendees a whole range of Monster Ego resin goodness! With only 10 days to go before ToyCon UK opens its doors once again, Monster Ego presents the all-new “Gloom”. Monster Ego will have a wide range of monsters, ranging from Echo Finches all the way to the army of Lacunas. We can’t wait to see them in person as we are fans of Monster Ego’s works as well as the story behind each piece. Time to get ready to enter the world of Monster Ego!

Somewhere in the depths of the Hallowed Lands, amongst the gnarled trunks of ancient trees, something stirs in the dark hours of the night. As the moon shines upon the realm the face of the Gloom spirit will be illuminated to reveal an oversized feline like head with two sets of dull pearlescent eyes – an unsettling rictus grin spreading across its face. Thin feeble arms will reach forward through the darkness searching for creatures lost in the night, you would be forgiven for assuming the Gloom has grim intentions, a repulsive spirit at first encounter, however you would be wrong.

The Gloom is an inherently good spirit despite its unnerving appearance, many believe it to be a cruel hunter but it is simply designed to survive in the darkness. The Hallowed Lands being an area of the Amarantine realm inhabited by creatures and spirits of pure death and decay, the Gloom mirrors its surroundings in order to carry out its task undisturbed. Not a hunter but a saviour, as the realm is a final destination for unwanted spirits they can materialize without warning and quickly fall victim to the more monstrous inhabitants of this land, but if the Gloom finds them first they can be guided out of the darkness – Monster Ego

Echo Finche

That dull fuzzy feeling of being watched. The niggling burrowing at the back of your head. Certainty of hearing a noise fading rapidly, unconsciously into obvious impossibility. It couldn’t have happened?!
The Echo Finch is a spirit that binds to a soul of an entity. Feasting and sustaining from it.
This binding corrupts the birds features. Twisting , contorting and shaping it to match that of the pure essence of the beings soul. Throughout Amaranthine Echo Finches can be found on the peripheral of their hosts. Sustaining in quiet observation. Watching, always watching.
