Japans Takuji Honda aka T9G “RANGEAS” gets the Midas touch from INSTINCTOY for the annual ” NEW YEAR PROJECT” This year the collaborations are with KWONG, CHINO LAM, JAMES GROMAN, T9G and being INSTINCTOY we won’t be too surprised if there’s an extra surprise installed. RANGEAS gets the all gold Mecha look with that polygon armour.
This is a mecha-type RANGEAS derived from RANGEAS. RANGEAS is a peaceful monster loved by nature and animals, and is always smiling. Though derived from RANGEAS, Mecha RANGEAS operates on an unstable nuclear reactor.
The reactor was once said to be “the energy of the bright future” but it is a very dangerous existence that can change the future into nothingness.
The Mecha RANGEAS is a combination of RANGEAS, and expresses the reality that behind peace there is a catastrophe.
The work was designed with its costume specifically in mind. The inspiration for the sculpt came from the robot monsters in scenes from Ultraman. The wrinkles and distortions on the costume were also intentionally left unpolished. – T9G

今年の新年企画にはアーティストのT9Gさんも作品提供協力を頂きました。
メカランジアスは2021年に発表された最新作です。以下、T9Gさんご本人よりメカランジアスのコンセプトおよび造形へのこだわりについてコメントを頂きましたのでご紹介させて頂きます。
＝メカランジアス＝
ランジアスから派生したメカタイプのランジアス。
ランジアスは自然と動物を愛し、いつも笑顔でピースフルな怪獣。
そんなランジアスを継承しつつ、メカランジアスは不安定な原子炉で稼働している。
以前は”明るい未来のエネルギー”と謳われていた原子炉。
未来を無に変えかねないとても危険な存在。
平和の裏には最悪と隣り合わせのという事実を、ピースフルな怪獣ランジアスで表現した作品。
制作にあたってのこだわりは、着ぐるみをベースにデザインしているので、以前のウルトラマンなどに登場したロボット怪獣の雰囲気が出るように造形をしています。あえて磨き上げず、着ぐるみならではのシワや歪さを表現しました。

ランジアスは2007年に発表されたT9Gさんの代表作の一つと言える作品で、僕自身もファンの一人として複数コレクションさせていただいております。そんな、多くの人を魅了し愛されたランジアスがメカとなって登場した最新作の金メッキ特別モデルを今回発売させて頂きます！
限定数は11体で、背中の突起パーツにはT9Gさんご本人の手により1体1体シリアル番号がデザインの一部として記載されております。販売価格は税込88,000円となります。

RANGEAS was released in 2007 and is one of T9G’s most famous works. As a fan of his work, I have several of them in my collection. I’m glad that the beloved RANGEAS is part of the line-up as a special golden-plated model in the latest Mecha RANGEAS model!
This work is limited to 11 pieces, and each piece will have its own serial number written on the back part of the figure by T9G himself.

NEW YEAR PROJECT 2022的第四個作品！今年的新年企劃中藝術家T9G也提供了我們作品。
Mecha RANGEAS 是2021年發表的最新作品。以下是T9G先生對於Mecha RANGEAS的設計理念及造型巧思的介紹。
＝Mecha RANGEAS＝
機械式Mecha RANGEAS是由RANGEAS衍生的作品。RANGEAS是受到大自然及動物喜愛，且一直微笑的和善怪獸。
在這樣性格的RANGEAS的另一邊，Mecha RANGEAS則是以不安定的原子爐來驅動。
以前曾被世人以“明亮未來的能源”稱呼的原子爐。
但也存在著將未來化為烏有的危險性。
將和平的背後藏著最壞的事實，與和善的RANGEAS做結合，體現了Mecha RANGEAS這樣的作品。
製作上的巧思，在服裝的設計特別講究，想法來自以前在類似奧特曼超人那樣的場景中會登場的機械怪獸，作為靈感而加以設計。服裝也故意不打磨，呈現出衣服般的皺摺及扭曲表現。
