Spiritus Dea Reveal – Inari Okami Kidrobot Dunny by Tomodachi Island

Two reveals from Kidrobot this weekend of their new Spiritus Dea Dunny mini series. Featuring an all-female cast of awesome artists, we are hugely happy to bring you Inari Okami, a design by our friend at Tomodachi Island!! YUS! This cute fox character is exactly what we would expect from Emelie at Tomodachi Island!

Inari Ōkami (design by @tomodachiisland) is a goddess of fertility, love, and agriculture who brings prosperity to her devotees. Interchangeably depicted as male, female, or kitsune (fox), it is the latter representation that resonated most with artist Tomadachi Island, due to her strong connection to foxes which are frequently used in her work. 🦊 Of this beautifully sculpted Dunny, she says “I’ve made my own interpretation of Inari, bringing fox and female into one.”

Spiritus Dea – “spirit of the goddess” in Latin – spans different cultures, times, and theologies, united by one common theme: the rebirth of justice. Whether worshipped for creation or destruction, protection or war, chaos or fate, or even life and death – the goddesses in Spiritus Dea maintain essential roles within the greater celestial world.

Spiritus Dea – Spirit of the Goddess Dunny Mini Series is launching on Friday 27th September from Kidrobot.com and other various Designer Toy stores too! As we have previously said, we are super excited to see what the ladies bring to this series. So far the designs have been stellar!
