It’s the last few hours of Thailand Toy Expo 2024 as it draws to a close events like TTE that we love that shine a spotlight on artists and independent brands that don’t usually show up on our radar. One gem that caught our eye is Thailand based ” RERUNN” Their motto is “Rediscovering the tribes and traditions of the world” We love the style and execution that Rerunn has produced. From meurals to prints and now art collectable resin RERUNN finds a space in our hearts and hopefully in our own collection as we love the futuristic yet trible vibe style. “BOY ON THE LOTUS LEAF” and the “THE PROTECTOR” are the first releases and you can find them at Thailand Toy Expo. But don’t cry if you can’t make it to TTE as Rerunn has opened up pre-orders for international collectors.
It all started from my obsession and interest in tribal art. I came across photos of the “Surma” people in Ethiopia which had me thinking about these rarely seen beauty of the tribes and traditions of the world which are disappearing.
RERUNN is a mission to preserve the values of the ancient generations through to the future generations by reinterpreting their aesthetic, meanings, and stories.

The mother keeps her new born child in the protective, hard-shell case which seems to be a part of her body. Worried for her child’s future in the village controlled by the elder oracle, although uncertain and doubtful, she goes on a long journey towards the wind for a better home.
