Over two years in the making comes the debut of Mishka x KALAKA TOYS x Medicom’s BEASTIE KID OG edition! when three masterminds collide great things can happen! Meet BEASTIE KID whos ready to make its debut at NTWRK “unboxed” festival this weekend! BEASTIE KID features both worlds of Mishka & KALAKA TOYS signature styles rolled into one soft vinyl figure!
I started working on a sofubi version of the amazing Basuritas figure! It was the only figure that was not initially produced into a toy by 3dretro the main reason that it hadn’t been sculpted yet, we also knew we wanted it to be a bigger sculpt & wanted it to be produced in Japan. The planets then aligned and Medicom_toy had agreed to produce the toy for us! Well years later & after many meetings, resculpts, names changes, lost samples, hours of figuring out how to paint this thing, our first release of the BEASTIE KID is finally happening this Saturday! I am so happy & extremely proud of how this figure came out. This is the 1st colour-way of many more to come so don’t get too bummed out if you don’t get one right away.
