Jason Freeny has just spoken about another chapter in his art path. Enlightening his fans with an update on this exciting project Jason is currently working on with Sarah Goldberg at Le Candiraton/Doartyourself. We were lucky to meet Sarah in person at Toycon 2014 and helped many art project come to life which we have covered before. We wish the best of luck to Sarah Goldberg and Jason Freeny and the other artists joining them on this new chapter. Heres what Jason had to say about the project.
“Before I embark on my journey to Thailand next week I’d like to share a little bit as to what I’ve been doing and why I haven’t been posting WIP pics for a few weeks…”
“I was approached by my friend Nicholas (he published the “Legoramart” book I supplied the cover art for) who had a new project for a book. The basic idea is to follow several toy designers from around the globe in their journey to design a toy…”
“I was given the responsibility to design a toy specifically to be a blank that will produced in a limited fashion and handed over to a select handful of artists to customize for a show that will span three cities around the globe… The entire project will be blogged and documented leading up to the final publication in a beautiful book.”
“From the looks of it, I am the beginning of the journey. I’ve been secretly designing and prototyping my DIY toy. With it almost complete, I am met in New York by the author Sara and her photographer Claire, who flew in from Paris to meet, discuss, interview and get a little tour of my city and world…
