Remember back in February, Jon-Paul Kaiser released a Blacksmith print? well JPK is back and turned him into art collectable resin figure. As awesome as the print itself and a great transition from 2D to 3D giving you the pleasure of seeing or holding JPK work in hand. We love how JPK has used leather or faux leather for the Black Smith, giving off different dimensions that paint wouldn’t.
“The Black Smith” is “an image of an iconic career of a craftsman – celebrating the art of a profession that has lasted for generations. ”
The Blacksmith, which follows on from the Woodsman with JPK “Workers project”. Scale-wise he fits in perfectly with the Woodsman; a fraction taller (at about 11cm) and slightly thinner. Each hand-painted figure comes with an individually made smith’s hammer and leather apron (thought there’s also the choice for faux leather if preferred).
“These will be cast up by Evan Morgan and once I have them in hand they’ll be cleaned up and painted, ready to ship out, which should take around 3 weeks.”
