From England to Hong Kong! The multi-DTA award winner Jon-Paul Kaiser hits HONG KONG for his solo art exhibition at Amaz by Lokianno Gallery. “Reveries” sees a new chapter in the JPK work. Using only his own sculptures and figures he explores the theme of nostalgia; presented by surreal characters and scenes, each depicting as well as subverting classic art tropes. Influences on this selection of work include history, fine art, and colonialism as well as looking at identity. It’s his first time in Hong Kong so be gentle with him. Get that selfie poses ready JPK here. JPK is ready to bless the space of Amaz Gallery and wants to meet his fans and get ready for this weekend as JPK will be there in person.
Renowned in the art and designer toy fields, initially for his stark black and white palette and high attention to detail. Over the past few years this has developed into treating the sculptural form like a canvas; “tattooing” intricate scenes and narratives as body art of the forms of his figures.
