Daycare Dropouts Kickstarter from Brian Baity of The Creation Crib

Veteran toy sculptor is looking to spread his wings and launch his own toy line which features his own designs for himself. Brian Baity of The Creation Crib just launched his crowdfunding campaign for his toy line, the Daycare Dropouts. Brian needs your help whilst being the one of the first to own these Daycare Dropouts. Plenty of pledge tiers for backers and interesting stretch goals which include GID!!!! Currently, only 29 days to back the campaign. $30 will get you Wolfie or The Monster or Drac. Heres The Creation Crib intro to the Kickstarter campaign.

Babies are sometimes the worst. These are the worstest babies.

Designer toys can be described as art made in plastic. A little serious, a little silly, mostly fun but sometimes not. They are produced in limited edition runs and are designed and produced for adult sized collectors with that kid’s heart still inside them.

This is a series of toys showing the most famous monsters in their most terrible twos. More art than toys, this series is a fun re-interpretation of a story in plastic.

Back this campaign and we’ll send you the first color way in this brand new collection by Creation Crib. As the campaign continues, we hope to add on additional items and new color ways.

Pin and Print Rewards

We are using the Risograph printing technique at a local Chicago studio to make these prints. This is not a digital print. A Risograph is printed with a stencil on a roll, one color at a time. It’s like if screen printing, photocopying, and offset printing had a baby. A special baby that can produce amazing results. The below is a rough sketch of what our illustrator Michael Zhang is working on. The print will be 11″x14″ on quality paper that will add a touch of fun to your wall.

Meet Brian Baity aka. Creation Crib

Brian has been sculpting collectables and toys for clients for the past 100 years. (not a vampire) (he might be a vampire, his face is ageless). As a freelancer, he has worked with some top names and worked with incredible licenses. Now, he’s ready to start telling his own stories and focusing on his own designs. Daycare Dropouts is the start of a new phase in his toy designer’s journey.

Brian/AKA Creation Crib has more than just a passion for toys, he can make them. When skill and care for craft come together, great things can happen. This is the start of seeing what Brian can do.

A warm thank you to Sarah Denis for reaching out to us.
