Bulletpunk Network x ToyCon PH presents MINT Arts Festival 2021

New hope, a new beginning and FRESH as MINT as our friends at Bulletpunk Network x Art Toys PH present to you the first in-person designer event in Manila since the Pandemic! Flying the Philippines flag high and featuring local Filipino artists and Asian modern street artists.

TOYCON PH and The Bulletpunk Syndicate (Quiccs) team up to bring us the first physical art event during these 2 years of the pandemic. The vision of the Mint (Manila + International) arts festival is to become the premier street art festival of Southeast Asia which showcases not only art toys but all forms of modern street art.

MINT will be the first and biggest celebration of modern street art of Southeast Asia, celebrating all types of art – designer toys, paintings, murals, comics, apparel, music, performances and tattoos. But not only that, this celebration will turn into a real one with live performances, food and booze.

You may ask, why should we have this type of arts festival in the Philippines? A number of talented artists from the Philippines get invited each year to display and sell their toys or art pieces abroad. A lot of them get chosen, as well, internationally to exclusive events to create murals. Simply put, the Philippines is home to many internationally acclaimed artists and more so undiscovered talents. The talent is definitely here in the Philippines! Moreover, the fans are also here in the Philippines!

To jump-start this amazing project, before ending the year 2021, MINT will first begin featuring local Filipino artists such as Quiccs, Egg Fiasco, Creon Chkn, Distort Monsters, Epjey Pacheco, Niakie Meow and The Steffi. Then for the coming years, MINT aims to bring in the best Southeast Asian modern street artists. And as mentioned, MINT serves as a great venue as well to feature smaller and rising talents.

MINT’s first featured event is called the “Days Away”. Days Away is the first physical art and designer toy exhibit on view at the Mint Art Festival from December 18 to 19, 2021. These artists will present a visual dialogue on life at home and their aspirations for the future. In this changing world, how have we spent our days away?

Be sure to check it out and go on December 18 and 19, 2021 at SM Megamall Megatrade Hall. Continue to support local art and live out your passions even during these trying times of the pandemic!
