Time to support the youth of the Designer Toy community, guys! The Doodle Boy, 10 year old Joe from UK, has been working with Kidrobot to release an 8inch Dunny adorned with his own doodles, but needs your help in doing so! Launched via Loot Crate this past week, Doodle Boy needs the backing from 300 Designer Toy collectors to get on board with his doodled 8inch Dunny before May 25th. More details below…
Hey… My name is Joe Whale and I’m also known as ‘The Doodle Boy’ – I am 10 years old and live in Shrewsbury in the UK and my most favourite thing to do is DOODLE. I have loved art since I was about 4 years old but I started drawing in a doodle/cartoon style when I was about 6 and absolutely love it. When I doodle it makes me feel like the happiest person in the world because I can express myself fully as there is no right or wrong in art.
When I was asked to collaborate with Kidrobot and design a Doodle Boy Dunny for Loot Launcher I was so excited… lots of really great artists have collaborated with Kidrobot in the past so it was a great honour!!! I enjoyed every moment of the design process and I’m really happy with how the finished piece looks!!!The Doodle Boy, April 2020
With 25 days left of the campaign, the Doodle Boy Dunny has reached 15% of its target. With your help, we hope that we can push this ever closer to the 100% target. A total of 300 units need to be sold to reach that target. Each Doodle Boy 8inch Dunny is priced at £48 + shipping. As with other social funding platforms, such as Kickstarter & Indiegogo, the total amount will not be taken until the campaign has finished AND reached its target on 25th May 2020.
