It’s always great to see Mei-Jean Hsu customs and today is one of those days where we get to see MJ’s work again. This time is a little different going with a theme of Alice in Wonderland. We know that MJ can produce her own IP like MJ’s Delectables Dunny. Alice in Candyland is MJ’s take of the obvious take on Alice in Wonderland and a example of if you’re going do a well known character or based on something mainstream then make it well and put your own spin on it. MJ does that with excellence!
We love the fact that MJ is upping her game by trying out new materials and MJ has succeeded.

“I’ve been experimenting with new materials since my last Matsu custom, and this piece is no exception. She has handmade “glass eyes” that I painted and domed with clear resin. Her hair is made from soft yarn. The base is inspired by decoden – a Japanese craft trend that involves making everyday items look like kawaii-themed sweets. I really wanted to make a Dunny look like a cute doll”
This beautiful custom is heading to Martian Toys contest! which means MJ could be heading to Toycon UK 2016 whoop whoop! “Alice in Candyland” will be getting our vote. Visit HERE if you too want to try and win a trip to England and visit us at Toycon UK .
You can vote for MJ’s Alice in Candyland HERE. Voting ends on 14th February. Good luck, MJ!
The 29 different pieces from the 25 artists, that entered the comp, will be placed in a random order each time you visit the Voting page. To make it fair we are writing our posts based on this randomization. We refresh the page, which ever piece is first on the list, we’ll post that next. We think that is a fair way to get the posts written about.
