You know you’re in full SDCC season mode when the emails from DKE Toys start to flow in. Today we receive news that TTC pal, and resin champion, RYCA will have a number of releases at the DKE booth (#5045) during the San Diego Comic-Con festivities later this month. Starting with a beast of a resin figure, Wampapi!
Standing at 6inches tall, Wampapi is a blinged out take on the 6″ vintage Kenner toy. Wampapi has real 23.5kt gold leaf and a Swarovski crystal! Priced at $80/£62. Signed and numbered edition of 25. Hand-cast & hand-painted. RYCA also silk screens and die cuts his own card backs as well as make his own blisters. Man of many talents. Beautiful to boot too.
DKE and RYCA never shy away from political statements and this is a strong one. I Am A Man will see its release at SDCC. I Am A Man was a powerful statement during the Civil Rights Movement in 1968. These hand-cast & hand-painted figures will be limited to 30 pieces and cost $55/£42 each. Again, signed & numbered by RYCA.
