First of all, before we go into details of this release, can we all wish Jason Freeny a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY for his day of birth celebrations yesterday! Most of today’s post was written yesterday with the timed release of this new release, however, due to an unfortunate glitch the post is all set for today. Now we want to bring you details on Jason’s next releases with Premiumworked by Mighty Jaxx. This latest collab is the first time that Premiumworked have created a piece using both wood & bronze, and it is the She Has My Eyes sculpture you see below.
She Has My Eyes recreates the tender moment a mother first holds her child in her hands, immortalising the second the unbreakable bond is formed. The instantly recognisable Brick Baby is gently cradled in the arms of her mother, whom she got her eyes from. The mother curiously and lovingly looks into her own reflection in her new-born, embracing all their similarities and differences. It’s an emotional sight to behold.
Carefully sanded wood accentuates the mother’s beautiful curves while the polished bronze of her baby creates a visual contrast that softly cries for attention. Together, the different properties of wood and bronze sing a sweet yet dramatic lullaby, making this piece an absolutely stunning work of art.
Available on a timed release of 24hrs, She Has My Eyes currently has 16 hours remaining. The number sold will be the run size. Never to be reproduced again.
