Love dinosaurs? Love sofubi? You’re gonna f’n love the Hunter Series by Cereal Box Toys Go! Inspired by the Monster Hunter video game, the Canadian brother duo behind Cereal Box Toys Go! have created three variants of their Gashadokutops (try saying that with a mouthful of bread) and these will be available at New York Comic Con 2019 next month!
Welcome to the “Hunter Series”, hunter! Peculiar variations of Gashadokutops have been appearing in the land surrounding The Wandering Castle. Do you have what it takes to hunt these monsters? Polish your armour and sharpen your weapons for the fight of your life!
Cereal Box Toys Go!
The figures will be available at Blackdrove/Tenacious Toys NYCC booth #780, each figure is $60 USD and will feature special packaging art unique to the variant. The run size is limited to 2 of each variant. Any left over pieces will be available via Blackdrove’s website (https://blackdrove.bigcartel.com/) following the conclusion of NYCC 2019.
“Tyrant Tiger King” – Inspired by Tigrex from the Monster Hunter video game series, Tyrant Tiger King is the most primitive Gashadokutops. Ferocious with a voracious appetite. Where its digested food goes is a mystery, and why it eats no one knows. * Yellow-orange painted vinyl accented with metallic blue tiger stripes.
“Obsidian Slime“- Inspired by Brachydios from the Monster Hunter video game series, Obsidian Slime’s arms and horns are coated in a volatile green slime prone to sudden combustion. This often results in lost limbs and broken horns. *Blue-ebony metallic paint on top of GID vinyl. “Slime Green” coating the horns and arms of the sofubi actually glow in the dark to simulate its combustible nature.
“Lord Thunder Wolf“- Inspired by Zinogre from the Monster Hunter video game series, Lord Thunder Wolf surges with electrical energy and is capable of summoning electrical storms with its mournful howls. *Gold-glitter vinyl with sprays of metallic green and white highlighting.
