Our bearded brother, Ian Hancox, hopes to help raise some money this month for the Bearded Villains UK Chapter, with his newly created resin character – The Bearded Villain. Bearded Villains are a global brotherhood of bearded gentlemen. Don’t be swayed by the name Bearded Villains name though, they are anything but villainous. The Bearded Villains are all about Charity Work, Support, Respect, and Loyalty.
Hancox worked with UME Toys to cast these 2.25 inch bearded beauties in resin, Ian hand-painting the finished piece. The Bearded Villain will be released as a pre-order at 5pm GMT on Monday 11th January. The pre-order will continue till 5pm Saturday 16th January. Ian will work to make however many are pre-ordered during this period. Each will come numbered. Priced at £20 each, the money raised from this pre-order will be used to donate towards the Bearded Villains UK London Marathon Charity Fund. On April 24th 2016, six Bearded men will run the Virgin Money London Marathon. The UK Chapter of Bearded Villains are working towards raising £11,000 to participate in the marathon. All monies raised from the marathon run will go towards children’s charity Barnardo’s.
