Following the success of the SOLD OUT Santa Muerte 8inch Dunny earlier this month, Stephanie Buscema has also added her design to the upcoming all-female Kidrobot Dunny mini series – Spiritus Dea! We have spent the last week or so revealing the designs from this Dunny series, and with the launch happening this coming Friday we are almost at the end of the reveals – ONE MORE TO GO! Santa Muerte (design by @StephBuscema) is a Mexican deity and folk saint whose name translates to “Holy Death” – this 3″ figure within the Spiritus Dea series extends the collection of the SOLD-OUT 8″ Santa Muerte Dunny. Associated with healing, protection, and safe delivery to the afterlife by her devotees, she is mostly portrayed as a skeletal figure clad in a long robe, often holding a scythe. 💀🖤🕯️ Despite being condemned by the catholic church, her popularity continues to rise in modern Mexico. Stephanie Buscema says that Santa Muerte’s openness, love and acceptance of all people who seek her aid inspired Buscema to honor the deity.

With a global reach of 3 continents, artists Candie Bolton, Laura Colors, Lisa Toms, Marylou Faure, Mia Alvarez, Mizna Wada, MJ Hsu, Muxxi, Stephanie Buscema, Stickymonger, Tomodachi Island and Yoii bring their goddess skills to this Dunny party! That is one helluva legit line-up of lady arts!

Spiritus Dea – Spirit of the Goddess Dunny Mini Series is launching on Friday 27th September from Kidrobot.com and other various Designer Toy stores too! As we have previously said, we are super excited to see what the ladies bring to this series. So far the designs have been stellar!
