Stunning and beautiful are what we class these customs from Emelie Jensen of Tomodachi Island. We could be a little biased as you can tell that we love the 麟核 Frogtree Rinkaku and we still regarded one of our favourite releases since their debut in 2019. If you have been following us you will already know we are big fans of Rinkaku FrogTree with its mystical and folklore vibe now Emelie has worked her magic to present to you all Rinkaku PEONY SUNRISE with features a beautiful contrast of pinks and yellow, all topped off with handpainted Peonies and Japanese inspired smoke whist keeping the amazing silloute of the Rinkaku and using it as a canvas.
I loved every second of this paint job. I rarely work with this much yellow as it can be pretty hard to get a good gradient of yellow without caking too much paint onto the toy. But this worked so well and together with the pink blush tones it gives a beautiful sunrise feel. With a strong light behind it will more or less glow. I tried bringing in some more oriental elements to the paint job which I think worked quite nicely. All in all, I am so happy with how it came out. Rinkaku has got such a beautiful sculpt that you don’t want to take anything away from it with too much paint. I think I managed to balance it quite well in the end. – Tomodachi Island
