The art toy Plan Two was first released in 2020, feating 4 editions so far. The characters ‘ Plan Two’ was originally drawn Han Ning sketchbook back in 2010 and it was painted as one content in my painting < Neither Big or Little’ s Universe > in 2012. Han Ning started to sculpt it as a toy in 2019 and debut the following year!
The meaning of the name ‘Plan Two ‘ is just like ‘ Plan B’ , just as we should not only have one choice —— Plan A, we need to have more than one choice in our life, and also we need to look at the world from a different angle. ‘Two’ is almost equivalent to ‘B’, as well ‘Two ‘ is the same as the pronunciation of the rabbit in Chinese ‘Tu’ . So it is always featured that it has two sides, That’s why it is named ‘Plan Two’.
Plan Two is not a human, which is from a faraway planet. It looks both like a human and different from a human. and Han Ning hoped to get the people to feel both familiar and strange. After the long period design of the toy ‘ space puppy’ (Puppy Tang Space), Han Ning wanted to create a new character, and which is different from the cuteness of the space puppy. So Han Ning decided to sculpt ‘Plan Two’ ,now it is one of Han Ning favorite characters :). Though Han Ning understands that it is probably not as liked as space puppy.
< Rich Flowers Bloom > means wishing people great fortune and luck in new year. It was really tough in the past 2022. So I hoped to express my good wishes through work Plan Two, also 2023 is the year of the rabbit in the Chinese lunar calendar.
