Fresh off the press is Gary Rojas of ResinworX CustomLAb latest project! Presenting you a limited designer toy release which is a tribute to a Filipino cinema legend! This year marks the 37th anniversary of one of the most electrifying Filipino action-fantasy films ever made – Pepeng Kuryente, originally released by Imus Productions Inc. in 1988. To celebrate this cinematic milestone, Gary is proud to launch a one-of-a-kind designer toy that pays homage to the man behind the legend – Ramon Revilla Sr. – actor, director, senator, and one of the most iconic figures in Philippine film history.
Introducing “Pepeng Kuryente: Man with a Thousand Volts”, a 7-inch resin collectable handcrafted and hand-painted with striking detail – from his weathered denim jacket to the glow-in-the-dark lightning volt sculpted in flexible resin. This isn’t just a toy – it’s a piece of history reimagined in collectable art form. Known for his unforgettable roles as amulet-wielding folk heroes who fight for justice, Revilla helped shape the golden age of Filipino action cinema and brought elements of myth, magic, and morality to the big screen.
This designer toy aims to capture that legacy, blending pop culture and Philippine mythology in a way that collectors and fans across the globe can appreciate. This project is a collaboration between Imus Productions Inc. and Resinworx CustomLab, a proudly local toy designer and manufacturer dedicated to preserving Filipino culture through modern craftsmanship.
Each unit comes with a holographic authenticity card, a set of exclusive art prints and stickers, all packed in a handcrafted pine wood sliding box – a tribute to the timelessness and artistry behind this release. The toy will officially debut at TOYCON 2025, happening June 13–15, with only 10 pieces available on hand during the event.
