Otto Björnik x Kidrobot: Mayari Dunny.

We at the TTC have previously posted about the outstanding talent of Otto Björnik and his beautiful works of art, so it wasn’t a surprise that Kidrobot would pick up on this and find a way to take Björnik’s work to the masses.

Kidrobot will be releasing two colour ways of the Mayari Dunny, the black variant will be stocked at select retailers where as the red variant will be exclusive to Kidrobot stores and their online store.

“A beautiful deity, Mayari is both character and myth. Wearing a crown and royal ruff, this 3-inch lunar queen comes to life with a fine line style that mimics artist Otto Björnik‘s intricate pen and ink drawings.

Otto Björnik is as much storyteller as artist, mixing childhood memories and fairy tales within his intricately illustrated work. An architect by training, he works mostly in the fine and delicate world of pen and ink, though also forays into painting and customising, creating beautifully detailed figures with complex personalities.”

The Mayari Black is rising March 27 exclusively at select retailers including our good friends www.collectanddisplay.com. The Mayari Red rises March 27th exclusively at Kidrobot stores and Kidrobot.com and both will be priced at $14.99 or around £14 here in the UK.

More of Björnik‘s work can be found on his Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
