WARNING ORBY may BITE! what is this weird yet crazy looking figure? Meet ORBY the mastermind behind ORBY is Japan-based Ryusuke Kitamura of Backcountry. Using mix mediums to with a freaky effect in a good way. Think of ORBY as a Furby on drugs, HA.
It seems that ORBY is finally ready.The strange and carefree creatures are extremely proliferating in Japan.Their breeders are creators called Backcountry.They make it all by hand and sew a leather-covered resin face and limbs with a soft fur.And so many ORBYs were sent out to the world by them.
Born in Japan. I am influenced by mothers who are good at sewing, I grow up in an environment familiar with creative activities. After graduation from high school, I learn communication art, and continue to present works through music, paintings, designs. on that after, I gained experience as a graphic designer / creative director and found backcountry in 2017.
Many of them are bought and sold at online stores, and there are various kinds from strange ones to pretty ones.
