From the West to the East comes a huge wave of Mecha Baby Sharks! the mastermind behind the school of Mecha Baby Sharks is the one and only Kevin Derken aka KLAV9 of Creeping Death Monster! Taipei Toy Festival 台北國際玩具創作大展 brace yourselves! If you are into heavily weathered mech’s these ones are for you. Each one hand weathered and blemished with his signature colour scheme and weathering style.
10 pieces that will be available at Taipei Toy Festival thru Global Figure Showcase, Booth A26 with a handful of other artists including Koncrete, Nakao Teppei, Horrible Adorables, Kaori Hinata, Sad Salesman, Dolly Oblong, Bigshot Toys, Yasu Ebineko, Apos Toys, Kikkake Toy, Kakeuri, Samurai Doll, Chima Group, and Mesi Style.
I painted a group of 10, 1 offs of the baby mecha sharks from Momoco and Merry Go Round Toys. Each is hand painted with lacquer and oil paint and signed on bottom of foot. The pieces will be around $80 (USD) and available at TTF on Oct 10-13.
