I’d like to think I was really excited about the Kidrobot SDCC 2019 exclusives, but I’m not enamoured with the selection available to those attending San Diego Comic Con later this week. Check out the releases below…
With the highs of the Arcane Divination Dunny Series 2 last month, the new Chia Buzzkill Dunny by Kronk really brings us down to earth with a bump. Buzzkill by name, buzzkill by nature. When you have one of the greatest Designer Toy artists involved, we want something iconic that will stand up in 10 years. Not sure these Chia Dunny will do that. Regardless, if you’re a fan, these 4inch will be available from the Kidrobot SDCC booth #2846 from tomorrow evening (SDCC Preview Night). Priced at $40 and limited to 200 pieces.
The one redeeming factor of the Kidrobot SDCC exclusives is the 8inch Rainbow Spongebob Squarepants. Mainly because it is Spongebob, and secondly because it is rainbow! Limited to 300 pieces, these are priced at $50. When these went on sale for pre-order earlier this year, the online quota sold out super quick and many appeared on eBay for flipper prices. So if you’re keen on adding this colourful fella to your collection, you’ll need to head to the Kidrobot booth sharpish.
Other Kidrobot SDCC 2019 Exclusives available are the Chrome Electroplated Mecha Godzilla (limited to 500, $100) and the Kidrobot x Aggretsuko Rage 6inch GID Figure (limited to 500, $40). All available from SDCC booth #2846 from Wednesday through to Sunday this week in San Diego.
