Can you see our goose pimples from where you are? It’s from looking at Singapore based JINN’s 1st designer toy! Check out the JiangShi 殭屍 Daruma, the concoction of mixing the mighty Daruma and jiāngsh hopping vampire ( we doubt that it can hop right now, HA) anyway, less rambling from us, Got to hand it to Jinn, pretty cool for his first release looking neat n tidy. With passion and love for Macabre/Dark Arts & Tattooing, Jinn sculpting journey started in early 2018 when it was meant to be a gift for a fellow tattooer. However, what started as a mini fun project turned into a passion for which Jinn took a risk and abandon his job and went in full-time into being a sculptor.
The birth of the Jiang Shi Daruma took place in 2019 when Jinn’s pregnant
wife requested him to sculpt an ordinary Daruma as a gift for her as she has always loved the Daruma and wanted to make wish to it for a smooth delivery of the baby.
However, things change after the silly me suggest watching a horror
flick, Mr.Vampire(1985) to a timid pregnant lady, which leads her to
commenting “You’ve got a Death Wish?”.
After 4 long years of procrastination, Jinn decided to take action in self
producing the very 1st sculpture.
