First of all, we must raise our glasses to our friend Bard of Magma DSGN, and send him a toast of what’s to come as Magma DSGN reveals the anticipated first collaboration between the production studio Magma and the artist Jakman. Recently revealed resin sculpture produced for the Urban Art Fair in Paris, entitled “Jakboy”, reinterprets the painter’s self-portrait character.
Parisian artist Jakman collaborates with Magma on his first creation, “Jakboy.” This resin collectible features the cowboy character emblematic of his works. Limited to 100 copies, comes with a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity and is presented in a wooden box. Jakman’s unique vision and personal touch are evident in every step of the creation process, resulting in a faithful representation of his universe and palette.
Inspired by his daily life, fashion, and cinema, Jakman’s artworks tell a story through a single image, conveying not only his own experiences but also those of his friends and family. With “Jakboy,” he brings his self-portrait character to life in a new format that captures the essence of his artistic style.

Jakman is an emerging artist with striking creativity. Born in Senegal, he composes paintings with acidulous combinations, subtly mixing his origins, the codes of the Parisian suburbs, and the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, which influence his imagination. Jakman captures the subtle emotions that surround him with a sharp eye, leaving no gesture or situation unnoticed. His simple and effective line gives a special elegance to the suspended moments he paints so that a single image can tell an entire story – whether it’s his own or that of those around him.
