캐릭터가 가진 힘을 가감 없이 보여준다. 사랑하는 가족이자 친구였던 해피를 먼저 하늘나라로 보낸 아이가 하늘의 별을 보며 마음을 추스르는 모습 또한 탄생한 캐릭터이다. 이름만큼 발랄하고 한없는 사랑스러움을 마구 뿜어내는 작가의 작업은 보는 사람의 마음을 따스하게 녹여 무장해재 시키며 작가명과 동명을 가진 단발머리 소녀 ‘버라이어티 숨’, 유년시절 함께 자랐던 강아지 ‘해피’ 그리고 토끼 인형 ‘코코’ 모두 작가의 유년 시절의 추억으로부터 일러스트레이터 ‘버라이어티 숨’의 페인팅, 프린트, 조형물을 볼 수 있는 전시. ‘그리움, 별’ 이 에브리데이몬데이에서 두 달간 열린다.

캄캄한 밤을 무서워하던 나는 작은 아이였고,
작은 강아지 해피와 귀여운 솜 인형 코코는
항상 내 옆에서 이야기를 들어주며 함께 밤을 보냈다.
어느 날 해피와 코코는 내 곁을 떠나게 되었고
엄마는 그들이 별이 되었다 말 해 주었다.
매일 밤 하늘에 제일 먼저 반짝이는 별, 그 별이 바로 나의 친구들이다.
작은 별들을 보기 위한 그리운 밤들이 되었다.
새카만 밤이 밝아지고 별들이 사라지는 아침이 되면
지금은 단풍나무가 함께 있다.
우리 모두에게 있는 그리움은 별이 되니
매일 밤 그리움을 만날 수 있다.
밤은 그림움을 만날 수 있으니
밤은 더 이상 어둡고 무섭지 않다.
