TODAY is the DAY all hail the mighty ASTRO GHOUL by the mighty Zectron! Inspired by the greatest manga of all time Astro Ghoul is here! A combination of Unbox Industries Ghoulheads, Grody Shogun bodies and Awesome Toy televisions have all been used to create this homage. Each face of the Ghoulhead has been painted by ThirdDyeOpen to embody a different aspect of Astro Boy. The skull’s face shows his internal mechanical skeleton.
The vampire’s face shows an evil version of Astro Boy. The ghoul’s face shows him sleeping or powered down with closed eyes just like in the manga. The robot’s face has an eye with a red tear inspired by Pluto and his red tribal war paint stripes. The body has the classic red boots and black shorts and his chest has the outline of his hidden compartment.
The AwesomeToy TV has an insert print of original Zectron art which can be removed and replaced with any art you want. Each header is unique and has been hand cut, glued, and assembled with actual artwork from the manga itself.
There are 3 versions of the Grody Shogun body and they will be packaged randomly.
This entire project was truly a labor of love and took several months to come together. Priced at $150 dollars each plus shipping.
