If you happen to be in California this weekend, then we recommend highly to head on over to Toy Art Gallery – where they are hosting “ARTISTS ASSEMBLE!”, Stan Lee’s Yo! Custom Figure Show!
TAG have ‘assembled’ some heavyweight artists to customise Stan Lee’s YO! vinyl figure for this show, amongst the artists will be Jon-Paul Kaiser and Cris Rose – two top UK artists! JPK, whilst needing no introduction, has created a beautiful masked, mustachioed, dapper gentleman named Der Kaiser. Der Kaiser is something of a notorious super-villian capable of bringing Europe to its knees. During the day Der Kaiser rules Germany and is a bit of dick to other world leaders.
Der Kaiser’s super-villian outfit is inspired by the formal Prussian dress uniform from the turn of the century, coupled with his domino mask to hide his identity. The emblem on his chest is the Prussian eagle with teutonic ‘K’.
For Mr Rose, who recently had his first production 3″ Dunny released by Kidrobot, we unfortunately don’t have any images to show of his piece – however – I’d bet my bottom dollar that it is robot themed 😀
