When did you start your design career? I’ve been an artist all my life since I was a kid, maybe around 5 years old, My main job is as a freelance Animator and Art Director
b. the idea of SuperGiro
I love bulky and fat characters in toys, games and animations. They look cute, yet strong. I have a lot of toy concepts that have similar builds. They look very squishy; you can’t help but want to hug them.
The pose is inspired from my favorite anime ‘One Piece‘. This is a very distinct pose of the anime’s main character named ‘Luffy’ when he goes for a Gear second technique which is fierce and intimidating.
During the conceptualization, me and my wife were talking about fat shaming and the need to stop it. Then, the idea pops into my head that this toy can be a representation of it.Whatsboxx
