Fannie Lam AKA GrayMako a graphic designer based in Toronto Canada, has made two lovely custom Kidrobot Labbit sets. Being a fan of Fannie’s work it was a pleasure to see these Totoro inspired sets. One her traditional grayscale style and the other in full colour. In our option both sets look fantastic. We love how Fannie didn’t forget Totoro’s sack and perfectly incorporated it on to the mini Labbit.

Fannie being a big Labbit collector herself you can tell she’s put all the effort into the sets. Sure their are many Totoro customs around, but not many Labbit customs so this is a breath of fresh air with the Graymako style.

“For each set, the bases used were a 1.5″ and 2.5” labbit, as well as a Lincoln Log from the Heroes and Heartbreaker series. I sculpted the details with epoxy clay as well as the dust bunnies and little Totoro. The sets were painted with acrylics, finished with varnish and furnished with a woodgrain base. “

“The mono version sits in my own display (for now), while the coloured version is headed for a fellow Totoro-loving collector, along with a sketch of the design. “
MAKOU has a plan to make several “Android stumps with different Totoros” as well as tributes to other beloved Miyazaki films.
