You know when you drive past a place a hundred times but never pay it any real attention. Yeah, I do that all the time. Living in Walthamstow for 3 years, we drove past what looked like an old bric-n-brac store. Never took the time to investigate further. We then moved away from the area.
However, yesterday we were back in Walthamstow and this time we had to pay attention to this little store. The reason: the guys at Triclops Studio were opening a little East London Toy Store, and it just so happened that the address was through the previously ignored bric-n-brac store. It wasn’t just a bric-n-brac store, no, it was a whole bunch of mini independent market stalls. All hustling & bustling with life. The place was huge.
After working our way through the maze of stalls, we finally came to our destination. Toy Shack!

The Toy Shack is, as I mentioned above, the brain child of Rob Ames & Luc Hudson (AKA Triclops Studio!). A place for kids, and adults alike, to have the opportunity to peruse & purchase reasonably priced awesome toys. The guys have done a fantastic job in such a small space. Most of the wall are filled with a whole host of different toys – whether that be old-school WWF wrestling figures to Designer Toys by Kozik. It was great looking over the mass of toys available – seeing toys from the 80’s & 90’s when we were kids. All in near pristine condition. All very nicely priced too. You could easily go in with £20 and come out with a bag of awesome goodies. If you’re ever in the East End of London, we would highly recommend a visit to the Toy Shack!
