All week we have been bringing you the Kidrobot reveals for their new all-female Spiritus Dea Dunny mini series, but today we can bring you an EXCLUSIVE first look at the Arachne Dunny by Japanese artist, Mizna Wada!
Arachne (design by @miznawada), is a spider goddess who had once been a highly skilled weaver (and mortal), who dared challenge Greek Goddess Athena to a weave-off. Accounts vary on who triumphed, but ultimately Arachne was punished for her hubris by being transformed into a spider. Mizna Wada was lured to this design by Arachne’s arrogant heart and artistic talent. The end result is a striking, bewitching Dunny with eight arms.Kidrobot
I was inspired by Arachne’s spider body, arrogant heart, and artistic talent. These traits motivated me to draw a strong and bewitching figure.Mizna Wada

Spiritus Dea – “spirit of the goddess” in Latin – spans different cultures, times, and theologies, united by one common theme: the rebirth of justice. Whether worshipped for creation or destruction, protection or war, chaos or fate, or even life and death – the goddesses in Spiritus Dea maintain essential roles within the greater celestial world.
Spiritus Dea – Spirit of the Goddess Dunny Mini Series is launching on Friday 27th September from Kidrobot.com and other various Designer Toy stores too! As we have previously said, we are super excited to see what the ladies bring to this series. So far the designs have been stellar!
